I am a medical doctor, but I am a surgeon not a pediatrician. I used this cd for my first baby who is now 15 months old when he started getting colic at about 4 weeks of age. The first time I turned it on my son immediately calmed down. My husband and I couldn’t believe it. I used the Hush Baby cd combined with swaddling (as per Dr. Karp's technique) and my baby was sleeping from 11pm to 5am by 5 weeks of age. White noise can be annoying, but this cd was really soothing and definitely helped my baby sleep. I lent my cd to a friend when my son was 6 months old and now I have a one month old and need a new one. This would make a great gift to give any new parents. I highly recommend it.

This is my daughter's first baby. He is colicky - big time! Well, she heard about "white noise" for colicky babies and had borrowed a CD from her girlfriend. The girlfriends CD did not work very well (it was trickling water and an air conditioner). But your CD works like magic! It's amazing how the baby calms right down! It's a lifesaver!
