I ordered the Hush CD yesterday and we received it today. I was baby-sitting for my month old granddaughter. When my daughter-in-law got home, she put the CD in and I was holding Joslynn as she was crying. She was fussy most of the time that I was watching her. I could not believe it when the CD began, Joslynn stopped crying and fell right to sleep. I looked at Sarah, my daughter-in-law and she looked at me in disbelief. It was music to our ears. This is an awesome invention and we are praying that this continues to work for them. Thanks for sending this out so fast.

Well, we are still using Hush Baby. That's right, Dane is now 13 months old and it still works like a charm. I'm not sure when we will stop, but every afternoon nap-time and every night we hold him in our arms and as soon as his disc starts spinning and he hears his "noise", he just relaxes. Soon he is asleep and down he goes. It remains a savior for us. It goes wherever we go. If we are traveling and he gets fussy, we just pop the disc in and out he goes. Problem is when he isn't tired, he knows that sound is trying to put him to sleep and he fights it, but when he is tired he goes out quick. I just wanted to give you another update and tell you what a pleasure it was for us to find the Hush Baby disc. That disc is a necessity of our routine over the past 9 months or so and it really helped out during what could have been a very rough year.

I stumbled upon the use of white noise for my baby by accident. I got frustrated one day when I couldn't soothe her to sleep no matter what I did, so I just started vacuuming the room. Almost instantly, my baby fell asleep! Since then, I have used MP3 downloads of blow dryer sounds, have a womb sounds/heartbeat CD and a popular noise machine (by Marpac). The MP3s didn't always work. The noise machine, which cost me a small bundle, turns out to be not loud enough and there is no volume adjustment; it is no more powerful or better than the sound of a humidifier, which I have in the room also and it didn't do much for my baby in terms of sleep. The Hush Baby CD is the BEST. My baby takes a GREAT nap in the afternoon with it, 2-3 hours long. The white noise is "pure," much better than another white noise CD I had purchased online (another waste of money).
